Why trans legal rights are civils rights– not a political dispute
Whose Legal Rights Are Actually Being Taken Away?
If you’ve ever before thought:
- “LGBTQ+ individuals are requiring their political ideas on me,”
- “This is simply two sides of a discussion, why can’t you compromise?,”
- Or, “I support several of these new regulations being passed”…
I wish to welcome you to stop and look closer.
Below’s the fact: My rights as a trans person do not conflict with your everyday flexibilities.
They do not :
- Quit you from flying on a plane, traveling to another state, or going across a boundary.
- Stop you from utilizing pronouns, to refer to yourself, that really feel appropriate to you.
- Avoid you from marrying the person you like.
- Avoid you from obtaining treatment– including government-funded treatment.
- Avoid you from serving in the military.
- Put your professional license in jeopardy.
- Put your lawful name on your motorist’s permit at risk of being treated as a criminal offense.
- Decide what medical care your children must or need to not get ( leaving out vaccinations, which prevent illness dispersing …
